Day 1

Airport | Sigiriya

Welcome to Sri Lanka!

Meet, greet and assist by our representative upon arrival at the airport.

Thereafter, transfer to Sigiriya. Arrive at the hotel and check in.

Spend the rest of the day at leisure and relax after your journey.

Day 2

Sigiriya | Village Safari

Breakfast at the hotel.

Enjoy the morning at leisure.

In the afternoon, proceed for a traditional village safari, including a bullock cart ride, canoe ride and an authentic Sri Lankan lunch at a traditional village “mud house”.

Village Safari – This experience provides an authentic insight into rural Sri Lankan life. The tour begins with a traditional bullock cart ride through the village, allowing you to experience the peaceful surroundings and observe the lifestyle of the local community. The experience continues with a canoe ride through the village waterways, followed by a traditional Sri Lankan lunch served at a mud house.

On completion, return to the hotel and relax.

Day 3

Sigiriya Rock | Minneriya National Park

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning, visit the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Sigiriya Rock Fortress – One of Sri Lanka’s most remarkable historical attractions and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress rising dramatically above the surrounding plains. Built during the reign of King Kashyapa (477–495 AD), the site is renowned for its impressive rock gardens, ancient frescoes, the Mirror Wall and the remains of the royal palace at the summit.

In the afternoon, proceed for a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park, depending on the elephant movement and prevailing wildlife conditions.

Minneriya National Park – Located in Sri Lanka’s North Central Province, Minneriya is famous for its rich wildlife and, in particular, its large gatherings of wild Asian elephants. Depending on seasonal conditions and elephant movement, you may have the opportunity to observe elephants gathering around the reservoir, along with other wildlife and bird species.

After the safari, return to the hotel.

Day 4

Pidurangala Sunrise | Ambuluwawa | Kandy

Early morning, proceed to Pidurangala Rock to witness the spectacular sunrise.

Pidurangala Rock – Located adjacent to Sigiriya Rock, Pidurangala is one of the best viewpoints for panoramic views of Sigiriya and the surrounding countryside. The early morning climb offers a memorable sunrise experience, with beautiful views across the valleys and the iconic Sigiriya Rock.

After the sunrise experience, return to the hotel for breakfast.

Thereafter, proceed to Ambuluwawa, Kandy, en route visiting a Spice Garden.

Spice Garden – Sri Lanka has been renowned for its exotic spices since ancient times. A visit to a spice garden provides an opportunity to see various spices growing in their natural surroundings and learn about their cultivation, processing and traditional uses.

Continue to Ambuluwawa, Kandy.

Arrive and check in at the hotel. Evening at leisure.

Day 5

Ambuluwawa Tower | Leisure

After breakfast, visit the Ambuluwawa Tower.

Ambuluwawa Tower – Located on the summit of Ambuluwawa Mountain, the tower is a unique architectural landmark surrounded by lush green mountains and forests. The area offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and is an ideal location for nature and photography enthusiasts.

After the visit, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 6

Kandy | Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya.

En route, visit a tea plantation and tea factory.

Tea Plantation & Tea Factory – Discover the story behind Sri Lanka’s world-famous Ceylon Tea. Learn about the tea-growing process, from the cultivation and hand-plucking of tea leaves to the manufacturing process. Enjoy the opportunity to experience the beautiful landscapes of Sri Lanka’s central highlands.

Thereafter, continue to Nuwara Eliya.

Upon arrival in Kandy, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic – Also known as Sri Dalada Maligawa, this sacred Buddhist temple is located within the former royal palace complex of Kandy and houses the revered relic of the Buddha’s tooth. It is one of Sri Lanka’s most important religious and cultural landmarks and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kandy.

Thereafter, continue to Nuwara Eliya and check in at the hotel.

Day 7

Nuwara Eliya Sightseeing | Leisure

Breakfast at the hotel.

Proceed for a Nuwara Eliya sightseeing tour.

Nuwara Eliya – Often known as “Little England”, Nuwara Eliya is famous for its cool climate, colonial architecture, beautiful gardens and scenic mountain landscapes. Enjoy a leisurely sightseeing tour through the town and surrounding areas.

After the sightseeing tour, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 8

Nuwara Eliya | Nanu Oya | Demodara | Thalpe, Galle

After breakfast, transfer to Nanu Oya Railway Station.

Board the scenic train from Nanu Oya to Demodara, enjoying one of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful railway journeys through the central highlands, tea plantations, mountains and valleys.

The chauffeur will drop you at Nanu Oya Railway Station and meet you upon arrival at Demodara Railway Station.

On arrival, continue the journey by road and transfer to Thalpe, Galle.

Arrive and check in at the hotel.

Day 9

Thalpe | Turtle Hatchery | Galle Fort

Breakfast at the hotel.

Enjoy a leisurely morning at the hotel.

In the afternoon, visit a Turtle Hatchery.

Turtle Hatchery – Learn about Sri Lanka’s marine turtle conservation efforts and the work carried out to protect endangered sea turtles. Depending on the hatchery and conservation programme, visitors may learn about the different species of turtles found along Sri Lanka’s southern coastline and their life cycle.

Late afternoon, proceed to Galle Fort to explore the historic fort and enjoy the beautiful sunset.

Galle Fort – Located on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, Galle Fort was first built by the Portuguese in 1588 and was extensively fortified by the Dutch from 1649 onwards. Today, the fort is a fascinating blend of colonial architecture, historic buildings, charming streets and a vibrant multicultural community. Its outstanding heritage value has been recognized by UNESCO, and Galle Fort is inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Enjoy a leisurely walk through the fort while experiencing the historic atmosphere and sunset views.

Thereafter, return to the hotel.
