Trujillo and Chiclayo Archaeological Route 04 Days / 03 Nights

DAY 01: CHICLAYO ARRIVAL – CITY TOUR

Reception and transfer to the selected hotel.

In the afternoon, take a city tour with a local guide to learn about the city's history and discover why it is known as the "Heroic City" and the "City of Friendship." Tour stops include the Main Square (Plaza de Armas), the Cathedral, Elías Aguirre Square, and the Paseo de las Musas. You will also visit "Yortuque," a theme park featuring sculptures inspired by Moche culture.

Overnight in Chiclayo.

DAY 02: ARCHAEOLOGICAL TOUR – ROYAL TOMBS OF SIPÁN MUSEUM & HUACA RAJADA

Breakfast at the hotel.

10:50 AM: Departure heading southeast to Sipán-Huaca Rajada—the site where the tomb of the Lord of Sipán was discovered—to visit the archaeological excavation area. We will then continue north to the province of Lambayeque for lunch (*lunch not included).

In the afternoon, visit the Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum (closed Mondays), an impressive museum showcasing gold and silver jewelry from the Lord of Sipán's tomb. We will also visit the Brüning Museum (Lambayeque), which houses art collections and jewelry from the Lambayeque culture and other civilizations that flourished in the region.

6:00 PM: Arrival in Chiclayo and end of the tour.

Overnight in Chiclayo.

*Note: Cultural tours, museums, and archaeological sites in Chiclayo are closed on Mondays.

DAY 03: LORD OF SICÁN – TÚCUME PYRAMIDS

Breakfast.

10:20 AM: Departure for Ferreñafe to visit the National Sicán Museum. The museum displays artifacts from the Sicán culture discovered at the *Huaca El Loro* site within the Pómac Forest Historical Sanctuary; a highlight is the tomb of a man buried upside down, accompanied by jewelry made of gold, silver, and *tumbaga* (a gold-copper alloy).

1:00 PM: Visit to the Túcume Pyramids. We will take a walking tour of this archaeological site—notable for featuring the largest pyramids in South America—and enjoy the surrounding views.

Stop for lunch in Lambayeque (*lunch not included).

4:40 PM: Arrival in Chiclayo and end of the tour.

Overnight stay in Chiclayo.

DAY 04: CHICLAYO DEPARTURE

Breakfast.

Transfer at the appropriate time to the bus station or airport for your return journey or to continue your travels.
