Day 1: Departure from Guayaquil or Quito – Puerto Baquerizo Moreno / Interpretation Center & Mann Beach
Upon arrival at Puerto Baquerizo Moreno Airport, passengers must go through the Galapagos National Park control and pay the entrance fee (not included). The cost varies according to nationality.
After collecting your luggage, you will be welcomed by 593 Mastravel staff at the airport exit and transferred to the assigned hotel. Check-in at the hotel (room availability subject to each hotel’s policies).
At the time indicated by the guide, we will depart for the first visit: the Interpretation Center, which presents the history of the islands in their natural, human, and conservation contexts. The Natural History Hall explains topics such as the volcanic origin of the islands, their remoteness from the continent, ocean currents, climate, and the arrival and establishment of species.
Later, we will visit Mann Beach, a white-sand beach formed by fragmented shells. Its clear waters are ideal for snorkeling. Due to its proximity to the town center, it is a popular recreational area and a perfect place to enjoy spectacular sunsets.
Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 2: Highlands Tour – El Junco Lagoon + Puerto Chino Beach + Galapaguera
After breakfast and at the time indicated by the guide, we will meet in the hotel lobby and depart by assigned transportation to the highlands of San Cristóbal, where we will make three stops:
- El Junco Lagoon: Located 19 km from the port inside a large extinct volcano, its name comes from the local plant known as “junco.” Surrounded by Miconia, an endemic Galapagos species, it is a favorite site for frigate birds that skim the water’s surface.
- Galapaguera (Tortoise Breeding Center): This breeding center was built to improve the population of San Cristóbal giant tortoises (Geochelone chatamensis) in an environment similar to their natural habitat. It features a 1,415 m² enclosure, a visitor center, breeding facilities, and interpretive trails. San Cristóbal tortoises are one of the 11 giant tortoise populations in Galapagos.
- Puerto Chino Beach: Access requires a 15-minute walk along an easy trail. This white-sand beach is ideal for recreation, relaxation, and seabird observation.
Return to the hotel. Free afternoon. Overnight stay.
Day 3: FULL DAY – 360° Tour
A complete tour for those seeking nature, adventure, and a unique Galapagos experience.
Discover San Cristóbal from the sea on a full circumnavigation of the island, combining adventure, nature, and wildlife. Explore its coasts, bays, and beaches on a day filled with snorkeling, short walks, and marine life observation.
Destinations and activities:
- Kicker Rock (León Dormido): Snorkeling with tropical fish, rays, and sea lions.
- Cerro Brujo & Sardine Bay: Ideal beaches for walking, wildlife observation, and relaxation.
Enjoy birdwatching, including frigate birds and blue-footed boobies, as well as marine animals such as turtles, sea lions, and sharks.
Includes: Speedboat navigation around the island, snorkeling equipment (mask, fins, and wetsuit), certified naturalist guide, lunch on board and snacks, snorkeling activities, walks, and wildlife observation.
Day 4: La Lobería Beach
After breakfast, we will transfer to La Lobería Beach, a coral-sand beach named after the large number of sea lions that rest on its rocks and sand. It is also a suitable place for surfing. Along the way, you will observe mangroves, coastal vegetation, and wildlife such as sea lions, marine iguanas, frigate birds, and finches.
Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 5: Puerto Baquerizo Moreno – Return to Guayaquil or Quito
After breakfast and depending on your flight schedule, the guide will assign a pick-up time from your hotel for transfer to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno Airport.
