Puerto Madryn (4 days/ 3 nights)

DAY 1

Arrival, assistance and reception by our staff at the airport and transfer to the selected hotel in Puerto Madryn (approximately 50 minutes away). Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation.

Breakfast. We will depart from Puerto Madryn, crossing the Carlos Ameghino Isthmus to reach the Peninsula Valdés, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will then arrive at Puerto Pirámides, a small town where we can visit the Punta Pirámide sea lion colony during the breeding season (December to March). The journey continues towards the Punta Delgada lighthouse in the southeast of the peninsula, where we will have time for lunch (not included) surrounded by beautiful cliffs and a panoramic view of the sea. Afterward, we will head towards Caleta Valdés, an area with unique geography where we can admire the impressive southern elephant seals weighing between 1 and 3 tons and measuring up to 6 meters. Afterwards, we will go whale watching by boat to see the Southern Right Whale. We will depart from the beach and once at sea, the engine will be turned off to allow the whales to approach so we can observe them up close. Some even swim beneath the boat. If we're very lucky, we might see the sublime moment when they breach out of the water and crash back down with their 30-ton bodies into the sea. To complete the spectacle, they sometimes exhale forcefully through their blowholes, creating a water spout that rises into a V shape. On the return journey, we will observe Bird Island, located 5km from the Ameghino Isthmus, using a telescope to spot the island's birdlife. Return to the hotel and accommodation.

Breakfast. We will leave Puerto Madryn in the morning traveling approximately 110 miles south, to arrive at Punta Tombo penguin rookery around mid-morning. This reserve is the largest continental reserve for Magellanic Penguins and offers visitors the chance to witness various stages of the penguins' life cycle, including nest preparation, chick birth, territorial disputes, courtship rituals, and mating. We will enjoy a beautiful tour with a view of the sea and surrounded by penguins. You will also have time to enjoy a snack (not included) at the Reserve's café before visiting the Punta Tombo Interpretation Center, which can be explored either before or after entering the reserve (depending on operating hours). Finally, we return to Puerto Madryn, passing by Trelew on the way back. Accommodation.

Breakfast. At the agreed time, transfer to the airport. End of our services.
